Working Together

Cllrs Clare Smalley and Natasha Chapman recently spent some time with Abbey Ward PCSO Lingard and Stephanie Marwood from the Safer Together Team in the Carlton Centre area.

We walked around the estate, the shopping area, as well as the quarry. The new barriers at the Carlton Centre car park have been working very well in reducing car meets and related antisocial behaviour issues. Unfortunately, some shops have been experiencing an increase in incidents recently. This is worrying and we will be ensuring that the Coop are still providing security for the centre. Together we visited some of the areas which had suffered from antisocial behaviour and complaints.

Most of all it was great to stop and chat with many residents about the various issues that they are facing as well.

We will continue to work together to improve our area.
