Labour Party reported to Lincolnshire Police for flytipping

The Liberal Democrats are demanding an urgent investigation after a box of Labour Party leaflets were discovered dumped and partially burnt in Greetwell Nature Reserve, Lincoln. The incident, branded as “environmental hypocrisy” by the local councillors, has sparked outrage among residents and raised questions about how the incident occurred.
The discarded leaflets, promoting Lincoln's Labour MP Hamish Falconer, were found strewn and burnt. Local city councillor Martin Christopher condemned the act, calling it “a blatant disregard for both the environment and our community.” The Liberal Democrats have reported the flytipping and arson to Lincolnshire Police and City of Lincoln Council.
“We’re calling for a full investigation into how this happened,” said Martin Christopher. “Greetwell Hollow is a much-loved nature reserve. Residents deserve answers – who dumped these leaflets and tried to set them alight?”
The burning of the leaflets could have spread to the trees in Greetwell Nature Reserve, which has suffered from arson attacks before. The Lib Dems are also pressing the Labour Party to explain how their campaign materials ended up as litter and to commit to covering the cost of the cleanup.
“This isn’t just about a few leaflets,” Councillor Christopher added. “It’s about integrity. If Labour can’t manage their own campaign responsibly, how can they be trusted to manage our city?
“It's no wonder that Lincoln is plagued by flytipping. We hope that the City Council might finally grow a backbone and take action on this case, and gather the evidence required for a successful prosecution.”
