Its Adrian for Billinghay Rural!
The Liberal Democrats are please to announced that local campaigner Adrian Whittle will be the Liberal Democrat candidate at the upcoming Billinghay Rural by-election.
Adrian lives locally with his wife and has two grown up children and five grandchildren. From a Forces family, Adrian is keen to see our local heritage protected for future generations. In Lincolnshire, Adrian's father served in the RAF Bomber Command during WW2. Adrian moved around the world with his father following his retirement from the RAF in the 1960s and enrolment in NAAFI as his postings took him to Libya, Germany, Cyprus and Singapore. Upon leaving school Adrian worked in financial services, before forging a career as a builder and property manager.
Adrian wants to use his experience and knowledge to give something back to the local community. In a statement from Adrian he said "For too long the residents of Billinghay Rural have been taken for granted by the Conservatives. I want to be a proactive councillor that fights for what is important. I want to protect our communities by fighting for better rural services and protecting the historic character and charm of our local villages."
The election will be held on 14th December 2023.
