Cllr. Clare Smalley

Clare Smalley is one of our local councillors for Abbey Ward since being elected in May 2021. She is also Leader of the Opposition and leader of the Liberal Democrats at City Hall.

Clare has lived just off Monks Road for 30 years and has also worked at a local primary school for nearly 20 years. Clare is a hands on and active councillor around the ward, not only reporting issues but regularly gets on with tackling what needs to be done herself. Clare is a strong voice at City Hall and continues to voice residents’ concerns and views; fighting for the improvements our area deserves. She happily meets residents, businesses and employees who have concerns and will always endeavour to make a positive difference.

Clare loves listening to live music, travelling and trying new things in her spare time.
